Many companies do not and/or cannot budget at a granular level for a project - they know that they will have a budget for, Contract Materials of say $1m, but do not know/cannot budget for each individual item.
It looks like you must specify a category to budget against - is there a way around this ?
You could map several items to one Project Category, but this does not work either where you have T&M project and various items under the same type have different sales prices.
Any suggestions or fixes?
