I've been trying to get Project Server 2010 integrated with my newly upgraded R2 CU7 instance. It isn't integrating but that's an issue for another day. I notice this in the whitepaper on installation. "Added a note to announce that Microsoft intends to deprecate support for Project Server integration in future releases. Instead, customers are encouraged to use Microsoft Project client integration, which is available beginning with cumulative update 7 for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2"
So first question, am I wasting my time? If so, Project Server offered some BI capabilities. Are they replaced by anything?
Question two, if the answer to Q1 is in favor of continuing, the Enable Integration goes in to In Process and never comes out. Seems to be a frequent issue but the answers seem to generate from the logs; event logs, integration log. Neither of these have any errors in my case. I've checked the event logs on my aos, project and sql server. And the integration log on the aos. Is there another way to tell me what's happening? Is this a great deal easier if project server runs on the aos server directory?
