I have a source code linked to a retail catalogue. From here, I can link my target market and campaign budgets. I can then create a campaign and link the source code id to it to pick up the target market.
When I create a sales order, I can link the campaign to the header, and use the source code analysis to track the sales attribution against the campaign
This all works great. But the problem is, I can still attach my campaign to any sales order regardless of the customer, and the item, and the figures are updated against the campaign when I invoice the order. In this scenario, my campaign may be against a particular brochure or catalog.
My question is, how can I ensure the users can only select certain products linked to my campaign when the customer call in a quotes the catalog code? I noticed there is a Sales order button on the Targets list of the campaign, and also in the Call List but they don't seem to do anything - and even if they did, it appears that it would only link the campaign to the sales order and not the items? I must be missing something here????
