I am having trouble upgrading an AX2009 SP1 installation to RU8.
On the server that contains the instance I want to upgrade, there are three instances:
Production
Test
Development
I have been tasked with upgrading Development from SP1 to RU8.
Running the AXUpdate I reach the screen where it is possible to choose a specific instance.
However my problem is, that the development instance is not listed.
I have checked the registry (which is described in blogs.msdn.com/.../how-does-the-ax-patch-installer-detect-the-existing-aos-instances.aspx) and can see three entries:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products\FA15D12F8BB2D1C4282780DBCF614610
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products\FA15D12F8BB2D1C4282780DBCF614620
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products\FA15D12F8BB2D1C4282780DBCF614630
So I think it strange that AXUpdate does not find the last instance.
I have examined the Subkey Sourcelist, and can see that the LastUsedSource is different for the Development (FA15D12F8BB2D1C4282780DBCF614630) than for the two other instances.
Can anyone tell me how I go about getting Axupdate to find the last (Development) instance ?
