Strange Behaviour in Grid - Write method not firing

Hi

I have a strange issue with a grid control. We have a customization that allows us to enter serial numbers into a grid. The serial numbers can be entered in ranges (From -> To). In the write method of the underlying temp table there is some code that checks if the number of serial numbers in the entered range matches the qty required. If too few serial numbers are entered then a new line on the grid is created for the remaining quantity.

This works fine for the most part, but in some cases we have a high number of serial numbers that can't be entered in ranges. The user enters the serial numbers individually (by just populating the FROM field) - again our code works fine and creates a new line and takes one off the remaining quantity, but once they have entered around 20 individual serial numbers things start going wrong. After a bit of debugging I realised the Write method is not even firing once we get above 20 serial numbers.

That is strange, but by accident I found that if I maximized the serialization window then I could enter around 63 serial numbers before the Write method stopped firing?

If I go back and edit the previous line (once the problem has occurred) then the Write method does indeed fire, but a couple of lines later it stops firing again. Any help would be appreciated.

This is AX 2012 and the underlying temp table is of type: inMemory if that makes a difference.
