In the electrical supply business we sell a lot of cable. Not just typical electrical cable but thick expensive cable where we look at size through the AWG standard.
In AX I know there is a way to set a conversion for unit conversion on a product. I am running into an issue with setting up a conversion of Feet to Meters. 1ft = .3048 Meters. How do I represent this in the unit conversion table?
Next we have customers who rely on international standards and we need send them sales quotes and orders in their unit of measure.
If we buy in Feet and sell in either feet or meters how can I set this up on a sales quote or line? Once the reservation is in place, if in meters, does the inventory decrement back in feet properly once we ship?
Maybe there is an easy answer for this but I haven't found a way to set this up correctly.
