I'm hoping I can find an answer here..
We are migrating to AX 2012 R2 and we have set up one company to be in it's own partition. We have a 3rd party vendor which we use to create Purchase orders, then they post the purchase order to our AX system using the business connector.
From my research if using partitions and the BC you have to use/pass in the partition id so it knows what company to use. The 3rd party company told us that there application sends the data based on the company id assigned to the document.
Based on their logic, when their app connects to the BC it will always choose the default partition which mean the if you go into their app and submit a PO for partition 2 it will not see partition 2 because the logged in session is for partition 1.
So I am thinking that they need to pass in the partition ID in the .login event of the BC.
Am I over thinking this, or missing something.
