Batch control and invoicing

hi

if a customer places an order with us using edi for 10 of product A

product A is batch controlled, and we need to dispatch 5 from batch 1 and 5 from batch 2

how can i do this without breaking the sales line into 2? and assigning the appropriate batch to each?

i really dont want to split the line into 2, as then i will also invoice the customer for 2 lines?

is there some way AX can handle the batch control at the point of dispatch, but not effect the original sales order/invoice?
