Control productions parameters and subcontracting (AX 2012 R3 CU9)

Hi everybody,

I’ve got question about production control parameters and automatic journals creation in the subcontracting process.

Let me try to explain.

I’d like to subcontrat a work order on a different site of mine. Due to my setting, when I generate a work order, Ax generate automatically a purchase order on service item. When I receive this order, I’d like to generate the route consumption (=route card journal), the BOM consumption (=picking list journal) and the report as finished journal (=report as finished journal).

So, what about the production control parameters ?

1/ Automatic update :

Receive purchase order : Automatic BOM consumption = Never and Automatic route consumption = Always

2/ Journals :

Route card/job card journal : Automatic report as finished = Yes AND Automatic BOM consumption = No

3/ Automatic update :

Auto-report as finished : Automatic BOM consumption = Always

When I do that, Route card et Report as finished journals are correctly generated after the reception. But there isn’t picking list journal ; point 3 doesn’t function.

So instead of point 3 … I do 3bis :

Journals :

Report as finished journal : Automatic BOM consumption = Yes

But it doesn’t always function ! Is there a bug ?

Finally, I’ve done that :

1/ Automatic update :

Receive purchase order : Automatic BOM consumption = Never and Automatic route consumption = Always

2/ Journals :

Route card/job card journal : Automatic report as finished = Yes AND Automatic BOM consumption = Yes

Since the route card journal, I generate in parallel report as finished and BOM consumption journals both. Is it the right and the only one solution ?

Many thanks for your help.
