Admin not authorized?

We are getting an odd error in our AX 2009 environment, where every time a batch job set up by our Admin user is executed (in this case, a periodic Change Based Alerts job), we receive 3 errors in the server's event viewer:

Object Server 01: Dialog issued for client-less session 4: User 'Admin' is not authorized to select a record in table 'BATCHGLOBAL'. Request denied.

Object Server 01: User 'Admin' is not authorized to select a record in table 'BATCHGLOBAL'. Request denied.

Object Server 01: Dialog issued for client-less session 4: Cannot select a record in BatchGlobal (BatchGlobal).
Access Denied: You do not have sufficient authorization to modify data in database.

We aren't able to identify why Admin is getting this error. The user is a member of the Admin security group, and looking at the SQL table directly shows it is being updated to reflect the last time a batch job is updated. The batch job itself seems to be completed without any issues as well.

What could be causing this error, and how can we go about fixing it? We have gone so far as to give direct sysadmin privileges to the user account on the database, and restarting the service, server, etc (many times) with no effect.
