Can the column header height on a grid be adjusted?

I have an AX2012 R2 form with a grid on it. The grid has a few fields with long labels.

By default, the column headers on a grid are a single row high, and the column width is wide enough to display the label for the field.

Because the labels are so long, some columns with a date or a 10 character string field are much wider than they need to be, and it makes my grid very wide. That forces the uses to scroll left and right to see all of the columns in the grid.

What I would like to do is somehow change the column header height on my grid, and have my column labels automatically wrap, having the wrapped text automatically center-justified if possible (if it's left-justified, I can live with that)

Example: my column label is "Prior Future Effective Date".

Currently, that displays in the column header all as one line, making the column much too wide.

I would like the column header to display as:

       Prior

      Future

    Effective

       Date

(those words are supposed to be center-justified. It may look a bit off here, but hopefully you'll get the idea)

That would make my column header four rows high, but the column width would be much narrower.

I want to leave the grid lines themselves as a single row high each.

I had the same problem in AX2009, and never found a solution. I was hoping that there was some sort of grid property or combination of properties I could set that would allow this sort of thing.

Thanks,
