Transportation aggregates and consolidates your transportation data, without the need for a separate Transportation Management System (TMS). It supports planning for nearly all modes of transportation including Small Package, LTL, Truckload, Rail, Multi-Modal, etc. With TRAX, load building, dock/appointment scheduling, routing guides and constraints, and a freight reconciliation process to audit freight bills, are all supported within a single solution.

Dynamics AX 7.0: Rainier (Q4- 2014)

The upcoming major version of Dynamics AX, code name Rainier on the famous mountain of Washington, which will be released in the fourth quarter of 2014. This new version of AX will be based on new exciting technologies HTML5, CSS3 and Cloud.

Rainier will included Next Gen UX, Cloud Optimized and better Application Lifecycle Management. Microsoft will then be making that new user interface available through an Azure-based ERP service from Microsoft.  The cloud-based offering will not be a complete Dynamics AX deployment that companies get on premise now; instead it will be offered in the form of specific industry solutions, with Microsoft adding new flavors as more such solutions are ready for release over time.
