I need to add the dimension "Color" to the sales items. Sales items haven't any dimension, and they're "Service" Items. I'm not going to create new items with the new item group.
The inventory must be closed before changing item group, so there're no open transactions. After changing the item group on items, the Color becomes mandatory.
If I need to post a credit note from an invoiced sales order without Color, I cannot change the dimension, because the system raises the error: "Stock dimension Color must be consistent within the lot, so it cannot be changed."
Shall I update the dimension on inventtrans table? I'm afraid that this procedure can create discrepancy on system.
