as a new member of the dynamics community I'm facing an issue, of course. I would be glad to receive some input from you about the following issue:
I need to ensure an automatic approval of a workflow step by checking the value of the field "title" which is stored in the Table HcmPositionDetail. To add this field properly to the selection of fields I can choose from when I want to add a new condition, I need to extend the Query PurchReqDocument and add some additional Datasources to it (HcmPositionWorkerAssignment, HcmPosition, HcmPositionDetail). But how do I ensure the connection between the originator of the PurchReq and his (primary!) position's title in the condition?
As an alternative way I could set up the query with the field "title" stored in the table HcmWorkerTitle. But somehow I need to set up the connection between the field PurchReqTable.Originator and the field HcmWorkerTitle.Title in my condition as well. Any ideas about possible ways to achieve my goal?
In connection with this issue I got another question: Does the performance of a workflow suffer massively from interlaced data sources in the correspondent query? Is there a best practice to stick to?
