Microsoft.Dynamics.Framework.BusinessConnector.Session.Exceptions.NoKernelSessionException: Unable to connect to the AOS specified in the AX Client Configuration. The configuration could be missing, invalid, or the AOS is not running. To connect to the AOS, check the network connection between the client and the AOS, verify that a valid configuration exists, and that the AOS service is running on the server.

Good evening,

We recently refreshed our Dev environment and have since been experiencing the above error when attempting to build any report in Visual Studio.  Everyone that has admin and developer permissions has received this error.

Steps taken to this point

  • Verified that the the configuration in the environment was correct.
    • Dev specific configuration
    • Original configuration
    • Refreshed WCF configuration
    • Deleted configurations and re-imported
  • System Administration
    • Verified system service accounts
    • Verified server configurations
    • Verified business intelligence setup
    • Verified Services and Application Integration framework setup
  • Client & Server
    • Verified registry settings were correct for both client and server
  • Visual Studio

Verified the Application Explorer was displaying the correct server objects

I went through the above steps with one of our system administrators.  We both agree that everything we have looked at appears correct.  We are obviously missing something.  Can anyone think of anything else we can look at that may resolve the issue?

Thanks,

Dave
