We recently started using capabilities to even out resource usage on some resource groups, which works fine.
Now we would like to setup a new capability for painting. We have two resources for painting and we would like to use one resource as the "primary" resource (for a specific item group) and if necessary, use the second resource every Thursday. Our setup:
- Two resources, P1 and P2 with finite property and finite capacity
- P1 has the property PG1 set on every day in its dedicated calendar, P2 has the property PG1 set only on Thursdays
- One Resource capability, Cap1, with resource P1 and P2
- The capability Cap1 is selected on the painting operation
- The property PG1 is selected on the painting operation
- Finite material, finite capacity and finite property is selected when the job scheduling is run.
The problem is that we get job scheduled on other days than Thursdays in the P2 resource.
Is it AX that cannot plan with both capabilities and properties at the same time, or did I miss anything in the setup?
