creating a site for aif service.

In AX 2009 ...

When creating a site for AIF,  is it metter which application pool I choose?

Another problem, maybe related - I created an AIF, but when importing to VS 2008, I cannot see the methods exposed by the web-service.

Need some guidline, how to check whether the Web service is created fine (and whether there is a tool to check that).
