Risks of holding AX 4.0 for next 5 years

I have a couple of queries here:

1. Can I get my Microsoft Dynamics AX 4.0 licenses renewed? Can I purchase more licenses if needed now?

2. What are the Risks that I should consider in holding the same ERP for the next 5 years?
