Does Dynamics Ax 2009 support Queries as datasources of Views?

Hi,

Yesterday I added a Query as datasource to a view in Dynamics Ax 2009 and none of the fields on the Query was available as field for the View and what it is worse, the AOS starting crashing....

Now the question, are Queries supported as datasources in Views? I wanted to use them as it seems that in Ax2009 using Tables as datasources you cannot change the join type between tables.
