We have troubles when we try to post some invoices the last few days. We got the error a financial dimension is missing. The structure does not require this dimension.
Some analysis with a partner lead to invalid dimension attribute value groups. The partner provided a job to correct these dimension attribute value groups an we're able to post the invoices.
But I did some additional analysis and found a lot of entries in the table DIMENSIONATTRIBUTEVALUEGROUPSTATUS with IsValid = false. After comparing the entries in our production environment with a backup which was made a few month ago I found, the backup contains more entries then the current live environment.
So I think, AX corrects some invalid entries automatically.
My questions are:
How can this happen?
Is there a standard way in AX to correct this entries?
How does AX handle these invalid values?
