windows vs sql collation recommendation

Hello Everyone,

Does anyone know WHY exactly, per MBS AX 2012 System Requirements doc, MBS recommends Windows collation instead of SQL?

Documentation states:  If you are setting up a new installation, we recommend that you select a Windows collation instead of a SQL collation. For more information about how to select a collation for a SQL Server database, see the SQL Server documentation.

But does not provide any detail as to the reasoning...

For ALL of our clients where we are tasked with installing SQL and no specific collation is requested/required, we choose SQL installer defaults and this has never presented any issues...
