AX2012R2 PO Approval Workflow

We are testing a PO Approval Workflow and a couple things are not working as expected. I am hoping someone may have some insight to share. The issues seem to be in the Approval workflow element.

This has been tested using both of these Workflow Elements with the same results: - Approve purchase order, editable - Approve purchase order

The PO is created and submitted. It goes to the designated User(s) for approval.

1 - When one of the the designated Users Requests Changes, we are expected it to automatically go back to the Submitter and not for the User needing to select the person to send it to.

2 - We have notifications for the outside of the Approval element going back to the Workflow originator for Approve, Delegate, Escalate, Reject, and Request Change. The notifications (pop-up and email) go through with the correct details on them that are listed on the Notifications Text screen. But notifications going to the selected person for Requesting Changes do not contain the details (placeholders) we want.

This is the %message% for what we have set up in the Request Change:

CHANGES HAVE BEEN REQUESTED ON YOUR PO PO000175.

WF LAST NOTES:  blah blah blah--- need FD on PO header por favor!

This is the %message% that is coming through when the Approval User selects someone from the dropdown list:

The current record has been returned to you, or you have been asked to make a change. Perform any required actions and choose resubmit to resume processing.

We cannot see where the details on this notification are coming from. They look like they are generic. Is there a way to modify these?

Ideally, we would like to have #1 work, where the PO is sent back to the submitter automatically. But we only need the recipient of the change request to get the notification that we have set up.

Thanks, Carol
