i have a problem.
The customers want to use ax as system admin(show all the menus by system admin role) but they don't want to show the development workspace.
I searched in the forum. There are some ideas
Idea1. Delete the license codes of development workspace
But the customized code may be lost
Idea2. Create a new role include all the duties and privileges
But the performance may be worse
Anyone encountered the same problem please share your solution

I tried to make a connection to the sql database using a ' job ' x ++ code . In his connection managed server 1 . but for the server 2 does not succeed .
error :
"Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation.Login timeout expired

then I was looking for know about the error.
for the security firewall on the server 1 and server 2 is made equal ( firewall off ).
To enabled connectionnya already made full .
all steps following link already done , but still wrote error to the process on the serve to 2.

When I am opening Ax client home page ,in top customers YTD sales and sales pipe line,it asks for username and password and after entering credentials it gives error message "only integrated security supported for AX Query".
I have also tried with admin login.
It is running fine with enterprise portal website.
Please help in resolving this.
we tried these steps
1) Processed and deployed cubes again.
2) deleted report folder and then created report folder again and deployed all reports.
3) restarted IIS
According to my requirement i need to fetch active account structure for a main account.
I am able to fetch account structures for a main account when there is a transaction on it using combination value from DimensionAttributeValueCombination table.
But if main account is not having any transaction then as record is not created in DimensionAttributeValueCombination table i am not able to fetch.
can anyone help me on this??

We have a requirement of porting AIF configuration across the environment, we tried it through definition group (table relationship depth till 3) as suggested by some on various forums but we are not able to move it properly. The recId based relationship are invariably breaking.
Will appreciate if you have any other idea and guide us towards a full proof way.

Hi All,
I have a strange problem. When we print a report (e.g. LedgerJournal) to screen. It seems as if the 2 columns containing Reals (Amounts) are shown in a another font size as the text columns. I have checked that all columns are printed in the same font (standard) in the same size (standard = 9).
Our accountant finds it very frustration, so I ask if any of you have the same experience - AND if any of you migth have a solution.
FYI: I have tried to change the font and size in the User setup - but it still have the same problem.
We have just recently upgraded to KR8 - but I cannot say that the problem started at that point.

Implementing Ax 2012 R2 in 15 countries and each company has own COA (not shared ) , so 15 COA codes created and assigned to each LE ledger form .
USA COA
India COA
SNG COA..
In each LE , there is one authorized user can add the new accounts but the problem is if the USA user login to AX - Click the Chart of Accounts screen , then can see the all LE COA codes , he may add or modify the COA of any LE codes , which is not right .
Authorized user should access add/modify the account details to the respective LE only.
How to control this in Ax 2012 R3 ?

A Balance Sheet account 142500 has some fixed dimensions like BU1 - DEP1
User created General Journal , selected the PL account , assigned the dimensions like BU4 -DEP5 -COS9 and offset account selected 142500 , then system defaults copy the BU4-DEP 5 to right side , but when posts the voucher shows dimensions BU1 - DEP1 to the account 142500 , which has been fixed at account level.
Question is why it is not showing the fixed dimensions during creation of journals in Ax 2012 R3 ?
