I have 7000 pages report to be export in excel. when i am using the print ascii file i can use only .xls. i am not able to use the .xlsx. kindly help me how to export report in excel. I have AX 2009.

I was wondering if I'm the only one experiencing the following problem in AX 2012 CU3 (and previous releases).
For some unknown reason there are fieldmappings disappearing in some tablemaps.
On these tablemaps there are NO modifications.
By modifying the tablemap and then deleting the modification again, the right mappings are restored (sometimes).

E.g. tablemap VendInvoiceLineMap.
Has two mappings VendInvoiceInfoLine (sys) [Foundation] and VendInvoiceTrans (sys) [Foundation].
When I
-   expand the mappings the AOT shows me there are NO fieldmappings.
-   run some code that uses this tablemap it throws an error (as expected with no mappings)
-   use 'restore' from the contextmenu, nothing happens
-   modify something (like titlefield property), save the modification and then delete it again, the fieldmappings are restored.

It seems to be a caching issue, but I don't know how to fix this in AX 2012.

Hello I never worked with the EnterprisePortal before but now I have to do some stuff with it.

First I have to do a customization in our AX2009 environment. Later I have to setup Enterprise Portal and make those changes available there as well (new forms etc)

I need your professional advice on this process in AX 2012 (not implement Production and Planning yet)

1) gather/list the items order from open SOs

2) convert/export/split these items into production orders?

3) Production staffs will start producing. When finish will report as finished or release

4) then warehouse staffs will generate receiving list of finished products into the warehouse (automatically, no need to key in manually item by item when receiving into the warehouse)

is there anyway to process these in AX 2012, please can show me how to carry out these steps (we have not implemented the Production & Planning yet)

Is it possible to lock an specific batch order when it is in released or estimated status in which nobody can change the status.

I am getting only Partition Initialization Checklist when I open AX 2012 Client.  I am unable to see any other navigation options nor Modules.  Please suggest what needs to be done.

We have been struggling with random client crashes in our AX2012 r2 deployment.   Our partner suggested we apply CU6, which we did and still have the random crashing.  We are accessing AX via W2008r2 RDS.    

Perhaps someone else has had the same challenges and could lend a hand?  

Here are the details :

·         The condition is that the client will hang, and may show the ‘Processing’ message, and then will crash.

·         Problem seems to be centered around a few different forms such as the purchtable  form.  

For example using the purchtable form,  the condition is when the user selects a purchase order and then clicks Line Details – the system hangs and eventually issues ‘stopped working’ message :

·         This hang and subsequent client crash also occurs after the line details opens and the user makes changes or navigates through the tabs of the line details.

·         This hang occurs on different purchase orders and not always with the same purchase order.   So does not seem to be data related.

The problem from the Purchtable form is intermittent; although a similar crash is easy to recreate from the Signing Limits Policy Form :

In <company>, go to Organization >Setup >Signing limits >Signing limit policies

Highlight the <“Goods & Services”> policy and click “Edit” on the ribbon

Expand the “Policy rules” fast-tab, highlight the current effective policy (dated as of 4/24/2013) and double-click to open it

Maximize the window that pops up (for the default signing limit rules policy)

This displays the active approval limit policies for regular PR’s and supply chain PR’s. If you wait about 10 seconds, the application will crash.

What's with that?  The 'Microsoft.Dynamics.AX.Framework.Analytics one is preventing me from setting up an Analysis server in AX and deploying the cubes.  I checked the dll's dependencies and it was missing the Microsoft.AnalysisServices.DLL from the GAC on the AOS.  I stole this from the Analysis server where SQL Analysis services was actually installed and added it to the GAC which I'm hoping resolves the issue.  But why in the world would all these DLL's that the AOS requires not be installed with the AOS, or at least be part of the validation of requirements for it? 

The AnalysisServices dll is the only one I was able to resolve... I have no idea how to resolve the dll issues going on.  Any advice?   This is a server only running the AOS, and was upgraded from AX 2012 CU3 to AX 2012 R2.  Prior to installing R2, I uninstalled everything related to AX from the server and started clean. 

We are running AX and have started using the invoice register to enter invoices that are unapproved by managers.  My question is - how do I get an AP aging report that does NOT include the invoices that are in the register.  Right now the report includes everything entered into Accounts Payable.

I am using SysDatabaseTransDelete class to delete all transaction in my company but when I open the class to start delete and confirm that I will delete all transactions found in my current company I am facing the following error:

SQL error description: [Microsoft][SQL Server Native Client 10.0][SQL Server]The operation failed because an index or statistics with name '[i100656_60001_8DF02328F815415AB0689471E6796F25] already exists on table 'tempdb.DBO.[t100656_8DF02328F815415AB0689471E6796F25]'.

After drop this index and open the class again another error appear with different temp table and another index.

I have now about 35 temp table with index need to be dropped.

Is that normal or it’s a bug in ax 2012 R2?

How do I set up a temp (temporary worker) for one company in Dynamics 2012?  Do I set them up as a contractor?

There appears to be a race condition when opening some forms in AX 2012 R2 when the Client performance option of "Form pre-loading enabled" is checked.

The problem seems to most readily manifest on complex forms with lots of controls that are personalized by users.  In our case we discovered it with users opening LedgerJournalTransVendInvoice and LedgerJournalTransVendPaym (which incidentally we had not modified from the SYS layer at all).  There were other issues with SalesTable as well.

While opening journal lines, we experienced the following error message.

DimensionDynamicAccountController object not initialized.  Stack track.. \loadSegments().

This event occurs once for everyone Account number control (including Offset account number) on the form, so it is possible to see anywhere from 2 to 6 errors in the stack trace merely by opening the form.  

Debugging with breakpoints shows that the loadSegments() event for each of these controls fires during the Form's init() method, and before the necessary DimensionDynamicAccountController objects have been constructed.  Normally the loadSegments() method of the account number controls should not fire until the control is activated for edit.  This problem even occurs when opening journal lines for posted journals, where the data source itself is not allowed for edit, and before the user has any ability to focus on a control at all.

This appears to be a race condition, since it can in some cases be highly reproducible and in others can be difficult to reproduce, even while simply opening and closing the journal lines form in quick repetition and doing nothing else.  Clearing the AUC and SysLastValue for the user can bring temporary relief.  

The problem appears to either require or be highly correlated to user modifications to the form, even as simple as moving a single column within the primary grid.

The problem also appears to depend upon the Form pre-loading enabled option under Client performance options being checked.  Note that this option can become checked WITHOUT YOUR CONSENT, and here is how.

After upgrading to AX 2012 R2, the first time you open the SysClientPerf form the following code will run (see below).  This code notices that the record is from an older configuration and AUTOMATICALLY sets the IsFormPreloadingEnabled to True as a default value.  In our case, we upgraded to R2 in early March and never opened the SysClientPerf form for nearly 6 months, but immediately upon merely opening and closing the form in our production environment began to experience these issues across many users.

Hello,  we would like to produce a report of invoices approved by a certain person.  If we could pick a certain time period that would be helpful.  It does not matter if the invoices are paid or not.  We will take what we can get.  

We see a lot of options regarding unapproved invoices however we are having trouble with this.  Thank you in advance.

I'm trying to import items that use the color ,size and style dimensions with the DIFX. The problem is that if the value of style for my Item is "New" i have to go back in each items to create the dimmension "New" And "Used". Also I didn't find a way to associate Sales and purchase Product Categorie to the Item in the DiFX. Again I have to do it Item by item.

I'm getting a "Service terminated with service-specific error %%90" error with our AOS service.  I've tried to reboot the machine, I've tried net start at the command prompt, but nothing seems to work.  I've found a few articles using ax 2009 but they were not correct for 2012 R2.
