AX2009. We have our AR parameters for AIF default Order Type to "Sales Order". However, there are instances where orders must come in as "Journal" type. Is there a way to do this? Changing the SalesType in the xml to "Journal" does not seem to work. Thanks.

Error in Code Up Gradation From AX 2009 To AX 2012 R2
Hi, My self Gulshan, and i am facing a problem in code up gradation (code up grade) checklist. In this checklist, when i click on "Import AOD files in baseline model store" option then one combo box come on the screen, Now first problem is - In this combo box USR layer is not present, while i am customizing in USR layer in AX 2009, and the Second Problem is - When i Add USR layer manually (by add one line in the code) then it is asking for AXISV.AOD file, and i dont have this file. So if you can hel me out from this problem then please revert me back on "Gulshan22041988@hotmail.com". Please Reply as soon as possible.
MRP: Ignore purchase orders that are not posted

As soon as a P.O. is created, it is considered by an MRP calculation. We would like to take in consideration those P.O. that have at least been posted.
The include inventory transactions checkbox in the master plan parameter form indicates whether the MRP process will used pending transactions, like purchase orders, in the calculation process.
However, is there any way to somehow configure this parameter so it will take into account only the P.O.'s that have been posted (posting - purchase order). Or as an alternative, only P.O.'s which have physical quantity received (posting - receipt list).
The documentation indicates that it is the case for production orders: "production orders that are not yet registered as physical receipts".

how to schedule multiple production resources on same operation to reduce lead time
I'd like to set up AX2012 so that scheduling will automatically add a second machine resource to the current operation when the required hours exceeds the capacity of the primary resource. In other words, minimize the lead time through production rather than stretch out the time using only one machine. I've tried this using a seconadry operation but AX just runs the secondary op for the same hours as the primary....it doesn't split the hours across both machines and thereby cut the clock time in half. Any thoughts?
Country/Region ID Modification
I have a requirement to change the Country/Region ID in AX2012 Addresses to ISO 2 digit code instead of the existing 3 digit code like for country United States, replace USA to US. How can I change the entire country list to the 2 digit ISO code? If we change it does it have any impact elsewhere?
Removing Coding privileges from super-admins
I was wondering if there was a way to set up my Dynamics AX 2012 so that even if someone is a "Super Admin" they aren't able to touch the code. If there is a way to set up the privileges so that Developers are still super admins, but have access to the code?

after installing the AOS für Dynamics AX2012 on a new server, I try to install der reporting services extensions. The setupprocess stops with following errormessage:
The AOS 'Name@2712' cannot be reached. Setup cannot continue.Verify that you entered the correct server information an that the AOS is running.
I have no Problem, to access via AX2012 client the AOS, but setup has problems and I cannot finish the setup.
I get this error by installing:
reporting services extensions, analysis services extensions and trace parser

I have a doubt with resepect to organizational hierarchy. Please help me. My legal entity name is HML and having two business units as SBU-A ,SBU-B. We have various branch offices created under Departments as HO, BRANCH1,BRANCH2,BRANCH3. I have created custom financial dimenseionsDIVISIONS under BRANCH1, BRANCH2,BRANCH3 . Again created SECTIONS under DIVISIONS as given below . Now while entering the journal if I select department as BRANCH1 and division as ACCOUNTS the sections avaiable should be FINANCE, PAYMENTS, COSTING only.

AX 2012 up gradation issues
Hi All ,
After up gradation of AX 2012 from 2009 , normally some issues came like records duplication of customers , vendors, products ( but in the previous version no duplications) , Posting profiles accounts not updated ( in the previous version all accounts are configured in posting profiles ) and posting types updated wrongly in the transaction tables .
Could any one share me how resolve the issues or any MS guide is available to resolve these issues ?

RFQ process - AX is doing wrong
Hi All ,
Generally most of organizations will follow the RFQ creation process as mentioned below.
RFQ will be created for new materials or against the approved purchase requistions( PR's should be approved by concern department head).
But when it comes AX RFQ process is against to organizations process.
RFQ can be created from a purchase requisition only when the status of the purchase requisition is pending approval and You cannot perform any actions on the purchase requisition, such as completing, rejecting, or approving it, while the RFQ is in progress.
Could any body noticed why AX is doing in a different manner ?

Printing AX 2012 SSRS reports

Sales Papers reports in AX 2012 have a tendency to print an extra empty page when using european A4 paper size instead of US Letter.
Så I am trying to modify layout in order to force printing not to print the extra empty page.
However I am having a lot of problems with this, so I hope you have some advice.
I have set the report size, paper size and Interactive size to European A4 (8.3 x 11.7 inches) instead of US Letter (8.5 x 11 inches)
I have also set the Body size of the reports to 8 inches.
I have had to remove some Sales Line columns in the Sales Invoice Report in order to prevent the content of the (SalesLine) table to flow beyond the body size of my report.
It seens that the report behaves very differently depending of its rendering - for instance I can print a Sales Invoice to Screen, which only generates one page - but when printing the same Sales Invoice to Printer or PDF, it generates two pages, where page two is empty exept for the header.
1. Is there any way in SSRS reports to force a maximum width of any content in the report to prevent it from growing beyond the body size.
2. Is there a way of forcing SalesLines (or other content tables) to autogrow so that it starts at left margin and ends at right margin - I have only been able to set absolute width of elements,
Please share your experiences on AX 2012 report adjustments as I an getting quite annoyed by now.

Dynamic AX2012 Enterprise portal Role Center
I created a role center with a custom webpart from a third party for reporting purpose. My problem is that when I load this role center from sharepoint, this webpart works every time but when i load it in Dynamic AX role center, it only works 3 times, after that i got error :
You are already logged in with the username "my user name" and have reached the limit of 3 concurrent sessions. Please logout another session and try again.

Where to get the Security Add-in Download tool with information source down?
Normally, I would be patient, but I'm going to have to do a lot more work to answer a SOX request ticket for a client without the Security Add-in tool. Plus, unfortunately, Information Source has been down for 3 days with no real messages or updates on the problem in site.
Does anyone know of an alternate website, virtual image, anything.. that I can use to get the security Add-in tool for 2012. Information Source is down, has been down for several days, and I don't know when it will be back up as we really have nothing even acknowledging this outage.
At this point, I'll take the file from anywhere that I can find it -- virtual machine, ect..
I last used it on Sunday, August 11th.
DOCUMENT HANDLING SECURITY
Hi.. I want to handle documents departmentwise (procurement, store, finance..).. I have created separate folder in server and assigned Active directory permissions. For example Procurement folder have full access for Purchase users and have view access for finance user.
Also i created a document type called 'purchase document' and given Procurement folder as Active directory Location. Also i have enabled check Table for this document type and assigned table purchtable.
Now i am trying to login as a Accounts user (roles like accountant, accounts payable clerk). So he have view access to Purchase order. But when he try to attach document (document type Purchase document) it is allowing. But because of active directory permission he cannot save document. But system not showing any error. When he open the attachment it is showing document not found.
Actually I dont want allow Finance group user to attach documents of type 'purchase document'. He can only view it. How can i restrict it.
Similarly i have to allow document attachment to accounts users for a document type named 'Finance docuement'. In that case i dont want store/procurement users to even view it. How can i achieve this.
