AX 2012 - Event ID 117 how do you trouble shoot this

Looking at the application event log on the AOS server I am see a lot of event 117 error messages with the following text:

Object Server 01: The database reported (session 1 (-AOS-)): [Microsoft][SQL Server Native Client 10.0][SQL Server]Warning: Null value is eliminated by an

aggregate or other SET operation.. The SQL statement was: "UPDATE SYSCACHEFLUSH SET CLEARDATA=?,RECVERSION=?,MODIFIEDDATETIME=? WHERE ((RECID=?) AND (RECVERSION=?))"

How do I troubleshoot this? I've tried looking on the SQL server but don't see any errors.

Is there a way to make the query always default to Query Used in dialog box select filter form, other than the Previously Used Query?

I have followed scenario below.

Invoice Date Quantity unit price

Purchase invoice 1/08/2013 1 100$

Purchase invoice 15/08/2013 2 200$

Sales invoice 30/08/2013 1 700$

When we post sales invoice following accounts in ledger are generated.

Sales order consumption 166.6 DB

Sales order Issue 166.6 Cr

It is clear that this Cost of Goods Sold is calculated based Weighted Average. (500/3)

The question is that how we can change type of costing. For example set on FIFO.

Hello,

I am using SSRS for Dynamics AX 2012.

I need to add customization to SSRS report.

I think that this is because SSRS is built especially for AX 2012 (i.e. the SalesInvoiceReport).

I need to add, i.e variable on report.

I open the report designer + right click outside the design area + properties + variable. put variable "myABC", value = "ABC"

add an expression on textbox field:

=Variables!myABC.Value

and get the error:

Value is invalid, and the name of the value.

Simmiliar message as I create a code (I am doing code.myFunction() in expression).

MyFunction may look like this (on code section):

Public Function MyFunction() As String

  Return "ABCD"
End Function

BTW,

1. How can I call function from SSRS, when report is initialized?

2. The above code should be in VB. Can I do that on C# (VS 2010)?

Hello,

I have created custom report in SSRS and published into Ax 2012, report is running fine with axadmin account. I want to give privilege to a user who's security role is "Account Payable Clerk". I have created this report on Payment Journal form.

Right Now only admin can see and run this report. How can I set security for particular user who's security role is Account Payable Clerk.

SSRS reports which use ax data method works fine when accessed from SSRS URL.

But when accessed from AX- UI(menu) it gives following errors.

the window comes up asking for LoginName and Password. After giving loginname and password, it comes up with an error message saying "Only Integrated security is supported by AX queries".

We are on ax2009, OS 2008, SQL 2008 64bit distributed environment

Let me know if you need any further info on this.

I'm developing some modifications in AX 2012 R2. Most of the modifications is related to VAT system in AX. When I try to access any VAT table an error occur that I haven't access to that tables.

Is any way to get access to this resources without ISV development codes?

i have a report when running to "display" it Shows 16 pages .. when direct to printer its 12 .. makes it difficult when checking display vs. printout . in Old AX die Display pages were calculated with default printer .. where can i set this in AX2012 R2

is it possible to set the AccessLevel of a form to "read" and the AccessLevel of a control on the form to "delete"?

Hi, Could some one provide me a solution how i can clear all transactions from the AX 2012 system - I am using a test database, however, I need to clear all the trans so I can use this as a production. Appreciate it someone can provide a solution

there seems to be a class - but I don't know how to execute them.

in Ax there is a class "SysDatabaseTransDelete ". Theses class deletes all transactions currently in the system.

We do have a requirement where there are 2 companies in the same database, say Company A and Company B. The company A has got a legal requirement to maintain decimal places to 4 for amount fields where as the company B has to keep the decimal places to 2.

How can we achieve this in ax 2009?

I have following scenario: after confirming a PO, I need to generate the XML message (together with applying some XSLT transform) and send it to specific HTTPS address (just a regular POST).

Any ideas how to achieve that?

Outbound ports seem not to have HTTP adapter selectable - besides, you can only specify your IIS hosted webservices address.

Is this possible at all ?

I have used AX 2012 on Windows Server 2008 R2.

But the error message occur as 'The Microsoft Dynamics AX Application Object Server is running on an operating system that is not supported. The supported operating system versions are Microsoft Windows Server 2008 and Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2.'

And then the service for AOS is stopped.

Has anyone dealt with this problem?

I'm using display methods on a datasource. My method uses a web service to download some info. I've made it so it caches the data but that first time you open the form everything seizes for a few seconds. Is there a way to make a display method asynchronous? I want the form to open and the display method data to load in later.

Does anybody have experience with the contract plan functionality in the Service Management module add-in for AX2009? We love using it since it pulls all the serialized items sold to customers and helps us create their service contract. However, it doesn't pick up the serialized items within a BOM...it's only pulling serialized items sold individually.

Anybody face/overcome this problem before?
