Warehouse Locations
Dear All,
We are already using Dynamics AX 2012, and its up and running. Now we need to activate the locations functionality in one main warehouse only, while the location check box is non ticked in the storage dimension, so can i use the locations without change anything in the storage dimension or build new one? and can i use it for one warehouse only ?

Trade Agreement - the same parameters for dates, qty etc but the same prices posted ?
Hi,
AX2012 R2 CU7 and AX2012 R3 CU9 - by coincidence - today I posted two lines in Trade Agreement journal having the same:
type (Sales Price);
customers (All);
item (the same item);
dates from-to (no dates);
qty (no qty);
site;
warehouse;
but DIFFERENT PRICES ($100 an $120).
Before posting - I started Validation - it warned about overlaps of two lines. Then I posted journal - believing that posting will be cancelled due to validation warnings ! Did I omit some parameter ? How system finds the price ?
I checked that on AX2012 R3 CU9 getting the same result (error).
Has someone met the same issue ? I looked in LCS but I can't find hot-fix for such issue :(

SRSReport: No data in Ax but OK in Visual Studio
Did a fairly simple report from scratch.
When testing in Visual Studio data is shown as expected, but in Ax only the heading in the tablix is shown!
I have build a full CIL, restartet Reporting Service and AOS.
Can't figure out where to seek a solution, so please give me some hints and ask further questions.

I'm Newby working with AX and i have issues with one server, its losing the connection to the Domain Controllers
i got the following errors:

and the one following is this other:

i think that my issue is related with domains controllers, but since its just 1 server and not all of them that hare having this issue i'm kinda confuse about it!
Please could you give a hand on this!
All Servers are running windows Server 2012R2 Standard.
Both of our Domain Controllers where 2000 then upgrade to 2003, then upgrade to 2008R2 and now Upgrade to 2012R2.
I just got them when they where all 2012R2.

We had several AX Services stop during the last week and the only thing that make sense to me that the service is stopped its because the RPC, but i'm really basic in AX! I really appreciated somed guidance in the troubleshooting process!
We have other AX Server that does not show those error in the event viewer and we had no issues its 100% fully working!

management report cu15 users lose permission to library AX 2012 R2 CU6
We have different library folders for each legal entity. These folders are set against output distribution in report definition.
Users are given access to folder based on the company they attached to. They loose access to folders often. We don’t know when it happens. It happens randomly, sometime after 10 minutes, sometime after 10 hours. We keep setting the permission repeatedly.
To avoid this, we created user groups and set the permission against user group. Now users are detached from user groups often. It happens randomly, sometime after 10 minutes, sometime after 10 hours. We keep attaching the users against user group repeatedly.
1. removed process and application services and reinstalled but no use .

How to updet the grid in a Form
Hello,
I have two grid in two different form, when I choose a record in the first grid, I have to update the second grid with the information of the record I chose. The two grids are in two different databases. I made a button it works, but i have to ckick all the time. I want juste update the secod grid.

AX2012 R3 : Wrong Item cost price On-hand stock
Hello,
The stocks closure process does not fix wrong calculation of cost prices for stocks outbound movements and stocks value.(Stock management/Periodic/Closing and Adjustment/Recalcualtion
Normally ,the Average Unit Cost should be close to the unit price used in purchase orders, the Sum Stock Amount total should be close to the unit price used in purchase orders multiplied by the on-hand quantity.
The Cost price in : Stock Management | Common | On-Hand stock | On-Hand stock
is not equales the column Average Unit Cost when of Stock value report : Stock Management | Reports | Status | Stock Value | Stock value report
We don't have the some cost price when comparing the On-Hand Stock form from this path : Stock Management | Common | On-Hand stock | On-Hand stock
and this path : Product information management/Common/Released products/Manage stock.
Could you explain why the inventory value report displays incorrect value ?And how the Financial cost amount was calculated,?

I have created a simple report by using query as a data source in Dynamics 365 operations. For report data source i have set the Dynamics filter property to true but after running my report I am not getting "Report to Include" option in parameter window of reports.

Production Control Module gone?
Hey, the Production Control module is a given when installing AX (for my understanding). When my predecessors set up the System, it was decided to drop this module. I was wondering if there was a way to bring it back? I tried the installation, but you can't install it as a standalone (modules are not shown in the installation for your choosing).

AX 2013 Code Migration to Dynamics 365. DimensionStorage::GetMainAccountFromLedgerDimension is not longer available
Hello !
I'm working on code migration from AX 2013 R3 to Dynamics 365.
I found that DimensionStorage::GetMainAccountFromLedgerDimension static class is not longer available.
Which would be the right way to obtain a Ledger Dimension mainAccountId, given its recordId ?
This is an example of AX2012 code I'd be needing to upgrade:
RecId recid;
MainAccount mainaccount;
recid = 5637147581;
mainaccount = DimensionStorage::GetMainAccountFromLedgerDimension(recid);
I'd appretiate any help.

AX 2012 Enterprise Portal keeps going offline
Hello,
We are using AX 2012 Enterprise Portal on a three server SharePoint 2012 farm. One app server and two WFE servers. Fairly frequently the Enterprise Portal website stops functioning. We get a 404 error when trying to access the page. The application pool and website are both started in IIS. Performing an iisreset sometimes fixes the issue. Other times, the site will partially load for a minute (missing images) and then it will give a 404 error again. Rebooting the server usually fixes the issue, but not always. Sometimes I have to reboot a couple of times. It happens to both WFE servers. Sometimes only one will go offline, other times both will go offline at the same time. Any ideas where I can look to determine why this happens?

Release Order Line grayed out
Hello Experts,
I have an issue which am trying to fix but having problems.
When we create a sales agreement and then ready to pt it to a sales order nothing comes out on the sales order. I have to be entering the line all over again on the ales order.
My Steps:
On the Sales Agreement Line I select "Related Information"
from that I see "release order Lines", Invoice Lines, Prices but both "Release order Lines" and "Invoice Lines" are grayed out. I have full privileges. Any idea as to why this is happening and how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated.

Unapplied cash is not balancing between divisions because of a hard error
In our environment, cash application is centralized. There are two departments (divisions) and we cannot setup the GL account for a department as the setup is 1:1 and not 1:to many. Are there any defined workarounds or patches?

LogisticsLocation.ParentLocation
Hello,
Can anyone explain to me when a record in LogisticsLocation would have the ParentLocation field filled. The very small subset of existing records in our LogisticsLocation table have a ParentLocation, and all I've been able to glean from it is it points back to another record in the same table. What I'm not sure of is how ParentLocation gets populated. Any help would be appreciated.

AX 2009 Production Order Un- register from BOM
Hello Folks,
I am trying to unregister the serialized items from the BOM. I have tried posting and it throws an error if we items available in the inventory. 
its throwing error at the time of "Post All" which I would still understand(there might be some higher level BOM not available or something) but what would be the best way to get these last 2 transactions removed? One of the users accidentally selected them and now we are trying to get rid of these but unable to. Any suggestions?
