We are having an issue where we are not able to run the "Fiscal year close" process in AX 2012 RTM version as it has few "Public Sector" related fields as the public sector license was installed(We oversaw this and did not remove the public sector license in the initial stage). Due to a design bug in RTM, disabling the Configuration key for "Public Sector" is not removing the public sector related fields completely from the application. We confirmed this with MS. We tried removing the Public sector license from the system, but that lead to other issues where it gave few errors related to public sector and we were not successful in removing the public sector license.
Also, as ours is not a Public sector related implementation, we do not want to configure any of the data under Public sector for us to be able to run the Fiscal year close.
Has anyone come across this kind of a scenario yet. Any help and inputs in this regard will be really appreciated.
