I found myself in a strange situation where I wanted to see why a certain functionality fails for a role, so, I took a trace using the Trace Parser from Performance monitor (the same behavior is present when running the trace from an AX client). Looking to see the SQL statements issued in the user's session I discovered that there were almost no SQL statement logged for that session (the user had only a couple of Roles related to AR/etc) - there were a few, but not all that I was expecting.
Question: is this normal? Does anyone know if this is by design? Can't you actually trace a non sysadmin user? Or have I done missed something somewhere?
