Hi!

Our customer can in their ERP system today acquire assets using po's. On the PO they can select whether the item should be purchased and stocked for sale, e.g. the ordinary way OR if the item should be acquired and posted as an asset.

To my understanding, in AX you would have to designate inventory items as fixed assets which I'm afraid won't enable me to select from time to time whether to make purchases for sales or as an asset.

My second question is how to make sure the asset will not be registered as available physical on arrival.

Answers or any directions to good documentation on this would be highly appreciated!

Hello,

I am having an issue with Inbound Ports on Microsoft Dynamics AX. The original configuration of the system is the following:

I am trying to increase the number of "listenBacklog" and "maxConnections", but when i change the "200" value, whether i increase or decrease to any other number, throws back the following error

Just in case the screenshot does not come up, the error says:

System.OperationCanceledException: AIF service group not activated.  Service group: RMPCustomServices.  Error: There is already a listener on IP endpoint 0.0.0.0:8201. I was wondering if anyone else ran into this situation, and if so how did you get around it?

Here's what's happening(I've personalized my form to have SalesLine LineNum):

1) Create a sales order.

2) Add several lines. Say 40.

3) Exit and return to the form.

4) Select the last line

5) Click Add line

6) Fill out as normal

7) Click tab 'Sales order' >View > Totals

At this point if you scroll down you'll see SO lines numbered 1.00000, 2.00000, etc.... then around line 15-25 (completely dependent on how big you have the window) it will start over at 1.00000 and repeat everything up to the total number of Sales Order lines. This will also happen in other instances than Totals, but this is the easiest way of reproducing it.

Here's the thing, I'm also able to reproduce this in an untouched install of AX 2012 R2. I will be filing it with Microsoft but don't anticipate it being fixed any time soon and would like to find a work around if possible.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi All,

Is there any possibilities to print the user entered parameter to the report in AX 2009. For an example AR-->Transaction--->Commission ---->Transaction List Report I this report you can see the parameter like in the below pic. I just want these parameters to be printed while users printing the report on the each page or on the first page in header. But the problem in this report is, it does not using any Contract or Data Provider class to use the field in the Visual Studio report parameter node to use the field for the expression like the one shown in the video link below.

Hi All,

I have 4 servers installed Windows server 2008 r2 on  the same domain name.This servers consist of AOS server , AX DB server and SSRS server and SSRS DB.

AOS server is installed by AX2012 R2 with CU7 and AXDB is installed by SQL Server 2012. SSRS server is installed by only SSRS. and SSRS.DB server has a  Database made by SSRS server.

Even though I have AX DB with Report server DB in AXDB server, I want to install AX extension into SSRS DB. But I am facing SSRS extension can not install in the SSRS server.

I have no idea whether components are enough or not. I have referred this URL ( https://community.dynamics.com/ax/f/33/p/68553/130445.aspx ) ,But unfortunately It couldn't  sole that.

Hi All,

Wanted to take experts suggestions / ideas before going ahead with a critical issue my client facing..

We have 10,000 production orders which are not closed for the years 2012 and 13. our inventory gone for toss because of these open production orders. Now we have couple of jobs ready to change the status of the orders and to delete open journals...but wanted to check with experts if I am doing right thing???

•Delete unposted picking lists

•Delete unposted route cards

•Delete unposted reported as finished journals

•Remove reservations for any open production orders (Ordered in Total, Ordered reserved)

•Change status of production orders to “Reported as finished”  (with zero qty)

I am not going to use this production orders in future.

I installed AX2012 R2 CU7 with the demo data downloaded from Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Solution Demos on PartnerSource (V4.0). When I attempt to restart the Microsoft Dynamics AX Object Server 6.2$01-MIcrosoftDynamicsAX service it fails with the following error:

Cannot create another system semaphore.

I'd appreciate any feedback.

Hi,  We constantly facing an issue whereby the workflow instance stopped without any error message in event viewer.  Can any one provide any hints about the following:

1 - Any Patches for this?  AX2012 R2 RTM

2 - How we can resume the stopped workflow using X++?  Does any one has the code example?

Hi!

Our customer will not be using master planning. However, they would like to have min/max inventory levels registered on their products to support reporting. But not being required to making any master planning configurations.

For example, they would like to be able  to report on all products with on hand levels lower than the products Min-value.

To my knowledge I would create a Min/Max coverage group. Then for each item create a item coverage for my site/whs, based on the min/max coverage group and only enter min/max for my specified site/whs.

Any remarks on this?

Hi all,

Using Enterprise portal in Ax 2012 I found a bug in Questionnaires. 

When one user gets to the last question on the questionnaire and clicks on “Forward” she receives the yellow bar stating the questionnaire has been saved and then when she clicks on “End” and is taken to the results page it shows two entries. The duplicate results are being created with time stamps that are 3-4 seconds apart. 

Does anyone know how to avoid duplicating of results or any other hot fixes?

Hello,

I am looking for step-by-step manual how to set up a questionnaire; dics I have (*HRM* serie) soed not have much about it, moreover - descriptions there are a bit confusing :(

Has anyone such a manual/guidance? I am not lookign for any marketing notes like '..it may even do a coffee for you..' but somethig more 'for dummies'; any help appreciated

I added a new column to grid, but, CTRL-G wouldn't have filter option like other existing columns, is there a property to set or something else? so new column can be filtered in grid?
