After the implementation of AX 2012 R2 CU 7 over the AX 2012 R2. When I click "My Activities" I have came across with the below error. Although before implementation it was working perfectly fine and currently "All Activities" is working fine.
Any workaround for this.

An error occured while communicating with the server.
I have 2 machine:
Machine A contains:
DAX R3 + SQL SERVER + RETAIL components (headquarter, retail server etc)
Machine B contains:
MPOS
Retail Server URL:

Password: 123
Retail-Server URL works when I ping at internet browser that gives this error:
Server Error in '/RetailServer' Application.
startIndex cannot be larger than length of string.
Parameter name: startIndex
Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.
Exception Details: System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: startIndex cannot be larger than length of string.

As I noticed that same error is displayed on Contoso VM too. Should I ignore this error or need some other settings Please help.
Are the Budget Control tables customizable to allow for more flexibility when choosing a main account range. We need to extract Main Acct 524020 from the following range and assign it to a new budget group.
I need to change this particular main account range
from 523000 – 529999
to
523000 – 524019 and 524021 – 529999.
Would you know if these budget tables would allow for such a customization or whether it should or should not be altered?

When trying to report a BOM item as finished, I'm getting 4 lines in the ledger voucher with posting types (Cost change variance) And (Rounding variance) 2 lines for each with total balance = 0.
I can't tell why those lines are being generated.
I've read something related to Cost change variance that says: If quantities are transferred across sites where the costs differ, a cost change variance would be posted. Also, a return order may result in a cost change variance if the active cost has changed since the original post.
In my scenario, The item cost is activated by Site. When posting the BOM Journal, the items are posted with Site (Same site of the cost price) and warehouse.
I've tried to activate item cost price by site and warehouse, but I couldn't as the warehouse is disabled on the cost price form. After adding it by code and trying to report the item as finished, the for lines are not generated.
In real life we don't have Cost change variance when dealing with items accross different warehouses under the same site.
Can someone please help to explain the use of those two posting profiles and how to avoid getting their lines generated?
Installed Version: Ax 2012 R2 CU6.

We are using AX 2012 R2 CU6 with a part of the CU7. We can't use the full CU7 because of addons not running with CU7.
Meanwhile, I would like to know if I could install the VSS feature coming with the CU7. As we are using DPM, it would be a good idea to get this feature working.

I mistakenly create an item in "product" and delete this item.
and want to create product with same product name in "master product"
But ax shows already exist then how can i create this or how can i delete completely.
The prerequest Sql Server Full Text search detection failes. Its installed on sql 2012 and I have patched it with CU1. My setup is 2 seperate machines. Has anyone experienced the same problem?

I had integrate AX 2012 with Visual studio Web application. The integration process executes every 10 mins. Now I had insert 300 records from web application to AX. But now got below mentioned error.
“The open operation did not complete within the allotted timeout of 00:01:00. The time allotted to this operation may have been a portion of a longer timeout"

As a Partner we enter support incidents into PartnerSource. During the entry of the support incident we select the company that reported the issue to us.
In Lifecycle Services when I create a Project and then go to Cloud-powered support I'm only able to see incidents where our own orgaization was selected as the company. Is there a way to see the incidents where we've selected our customers as the company?

i have a working ax2012R3 version with no data in it. I have now a problem with the user options field.
When i try to access it over menu, tools, options, then im getting this error:

Al further tables are working. i can access is all from ax. and having no problems, Compile, Cil and sync went good.
Im running ax 2012r3 with hotfix Hotfix 477012 does anybody now this problem?
I have check firewall, off
sql services (browser) is running. AOS is running. i can access sql and i am full admin in ax. Anybody has some ideas?

Is there a setting in AX 2012 to set the production yield on a finished good? For example, I know that a product has a 5% defect rate, so if my demand forecast is for 100 units, AX will create planned production orders for 105 units for that period?

HELLO ALL any body has an idea why most of normal transactions (item sold by retail pos) appearing as an open sales order ? iam really confused why some transactions appearing there and if I invoiced them, the transaction will be duplicated financialy or not? did any one faced something like this before? by the way i have created walk on pos customer account that belong to one store and all transaction there appeared on that customer account. as I know these transactions should be posted automatically without appearing as a sales order. any advice or help would be highly appreciated
