Emailing issues in AX 2012

Hi,

I am using sendMail method of SysEmailTable table to send emails to 10 different email addresses. Some emails sent successfully and rest of them failed. It is happening randomly and sometime 4 sent, 6 fails and some time 7 sent and 3 fails. I can't really figure out the reason for this. When I go to Email sending status form, selects any email entry that has been failed and clicked on restart send button then it sent successfully. I am trying to figure out why it is failing at the first place. The event viewer only showing RPC exception 1702. Can anyone please let me know what might be the reason for this behaviour.

WHEN i POSTED AN AMOUNT FROM ONE CUSTOMER ACCOUNT TO ANOTHER CUSTOMER ACCOUNT IN A GENERAL JOURNAL
AND TRYING TO SETTLE THE OPEN TRANSACTIONS BY GOING INTO COLLECT TAB OF CUSTOMER CARD , THE AMOUNT IS NOT SHOWING UP IN SETTLE OPEN TRANSACTION OF THAT PARTICULAR CUSTOMER.
ANY REASON FOR THIS? ANY CUSTOMIZATION NEEDED?

Form "PurchTable" show data from other table

Hi experts,

I am new and would like to ask a question for Form "PurchTable".
In my company, each Purchase Order line links to 3 record from Table "MarkUpTrans". These 3 records have a field to store a value. And it is required to display these value to each purchase order line.

I think the data is loaded into grid via code and I would like to insert some code there to achieve it. yet I can't found the code loading data to the grid. So would like to ask for someone's help and reveal to me where Dynamic AX loaded data into standard forms like "SalesTable" and "PurchTable".

DIEF (aka DMF): Empty File Exported

Hello community,

I am exporting a file from ax, when inserting the data into staging; the insertion is successful, i get all the records inserted into that table. When exporting data to the file (txt file) an infolog displays the message "data export to path", however when i check it, it is empty, no records inserted at the file at all.

May you please helping me solving this?

Where can I see all project related transactions

I have been using AX for about a month, and the version I am working in has been heavily customized...having said that, I am looking to see if there is a one-stop-shop to view all transactions against a project (Billing Invoices, AR Payments, AP Payments, etc...).  I am aware of 'Posted Project Transactions' but that doesn't seem to show everything.  Thanks in advance!

Management Reporter CU10 - disk space ?

Hi,

Am I correct that the DimensionCombinationStaging table is new on CU10 ?

I can't get through the initial integration, because that table eats all the available disk space. It contained 169 mio lines before my disk ran out (80 GB).

Any idea how much disk space I should foresee then (My live db is only 40 GB ...) ?

Troubleshooting Atlas error - Stack trace, buffer space issue

We have been using Atlas successfully to import small numbers of records, but are now trying larger data sets (~4000).  And getting the error "Stack trace: Binding operation failed to allocate buffer space."  Working with Atlas support, we have cleared the cache and increased the AOS Buffer size to 40KB, but still no luck.  Issue has been escalated to Perth -- anyone with experience with this type of issue here?  Many thanks.

Upgrading to AX 2012 R2 - cannot synchronize TSTimesheetTable

Hello All,

We are currently upgrading to AX 2012 R2 and in the process of completing the "Data Upgrade checklist" cockpit tasks. The job stops with an error since we couldn't synchronize the table "TSTimesheetTable".

See below a snapshot of the error (jpg) and the error message is as follows:

"SQL error description: [Microsoft][SQL Server Native Client 10.0][SQL Server]The CREATE UNIQUE INDEX statement terminated because a duplicate key was found for the object name 'dbo.TSTIMESHEETTABLE' and the index name 'I_4627SOURCEDOCUMENTHEADERIDX'. The duplicate key value is (0, 5637144576, bt)."

Does anyone have a recommendation on how to get pass this point and get the table to sync properly? this particular key "SourceDocumentHeaderIdx" is introduced in R2 and is not in previous  versions.

one off Master data import in AX 2012 R3

Hi,

I want to import master data in 10 tables which are not inter related and which even doesn't have any corresponding child tables. It's plain data entry in those tables. This is one time master data entry. Later on User would do it from the screens they have been provided.

I don't know why MS removed AX 2009 feature of Excel Template Wizard and excel import  from AX 2012. It was good for plain data entry stuff.

I explored DIXF framework, but it seems for each table i need to create entity which in turn creates those many staging tables and classes. For one time data entry, i obviously would not go for this lengthy and illogical operations.

I also explored Excel Add-ins feature. But I am not sure whether System administrator at my customer's end has installed Excel add-in at his end or not. 

Is there any better way than above 2 options ? Please guide.

latest trace parser (AX2012) used in AX 2009

Folks

When I use the latest trace parsers (customer source) and use it on AX 2009, it works however

there is no client integration and you can not combine client and server trace. (Need for Form tracing)

does someone have a fix or an older version?

Production picking list concerns

Hi Gurus

Traditionally, the system will generate the picking list automatically while we start the production order, but for some of the raw materials, the picking quantity is limited by some special requirement.

1. suppose each package of material A is 5000g. and the proposal quantity is 35,074g, normally the warehouse worker will give them 8 package and ask them to return the rest of them when the production finished.

So we normally fill the "Consumption" as 40,000 as above and the post the picking list to make the on-hand inventory removed.

i return the rest of the materials back to the warehouse by creating a picking list with negative quantity when the production finished.

Question:

1. Is the process depicted as above correct? or is there any negative impact by doing it in this way ?

2. for some of the materials like carton and plastic bags, do we have to configured them in the BOM, cause it's impossible to pick one/two bags or carton every time we start the production.

Font size randomly changing

I have AX 2012 R2. Sometimes the font size enlarges on some windows. If I close and reopen the form it corrects itself.

One time I didn't have my hand on the keyboard or the mouse, I was just looking at screen, and the form refreshed and the font size increased (that was a one-time occurrence; usually it doesn't change once the form has opened).

This is quite random and can happen to any form. I'm not sure if it's the actual font or just the font size. Please see screenshots below.

Has anyone else seen this before and any ideas why this happens?

AX2009 changing from std cost to fifo

Hi

have anyone tried to go from std cost to fifo, I am aware this is not possible standard but was told that it is possible if you close all orders and journals, empty your inventory, then take all transactions out using the definition groups and the set value in field “date fisical” then you should be able to change the inventory model group

Does anyone have any experience doing this? Doing it another way? Is there anything I should be very attended too? All comments are highly appreciated

Error in Ep while deploy a listpage

Hi,

I have a created a list page form. I have created the menu item and try to deploy it into EP.

while deploying I face  the error is,

"Server was unable to process request. ---> Setup encountered an error during deployment of the Role Center and Enterprise Portal framework.An error occurred while deploying Web page WorkerListpage. 

The target document library WCMP=ca&WDPK=initial?WCMP=ca&WDPK=initial does not exist."

 

Kindly help me to reslove the issue.

Ax 2012 R3 Warehouse Management system implementation

hi all

i am currently working my way through the Ax 2012 R3 Warehouse Management system implementation guide, 

i have been setting up everything so far on the Contoso entertainment system usa - USMF -

but now it is telling me to setup uom conversions on a product called Butter?

i dont see this product in any of the demo companies? and i dont want to push ahead incase i end up hitting a dead end by working on the wrong environment!

can any one advise if the guide is correct and what company should i be working on?
